Shalamar – A night to remember

«A night to remember» fue uno de los clásicos de Shalamar, un grupo disco-funk norteamericano creado por el agente Dick Griffey y cuyos miembros eran Jody Watley, Jeffrey Daniel y Howard Hewett.

En 1982 publicaron el disco “Friends” (número 1 en las listas R&B), del que salieron los éxitos “I Can Make You Feel Good”, “There It Is”, “Friends” y el que nos ocupa la entrada “A night to remember”.

“A night to remember” es una canción melódica que llegó al puesto 8 de las listas R&B y al 44 de la lista estadounidense, aunque ha pasado a la posteridad como un clásico del género disco de este grupo.

Aquí está el hilarante vídeo (a día de hoy) donde vemos las cualidades de baile de Jeffrey Daniel, que me he enterado que incluso ya bailaba el “Moonwalk” antes que Michael Jackson.
