En Agosto de 1990, Mariah Carey empezó su carrera musical de manera oficial y lo hizo con esta estupenda balada que la catapultó a la fama mundial y le proporcionó su primer número 1 de la interminable lista de éxitos que vendrían posteriormente.
Mariah Carey ha batido numerosos récords a lo largo de su carrera, tanto de números uno, posiciones en lista privilegiadas y curiosas, disco navideño (Merry Christmas) y de MTV Unplugged femenino más vendido, registros de voz, canción más radiada en una semana («We belong together» 271,1 millones), ventas en los 90 ó canción en el número uno del Billboard durante más semanas («One Sweet Day«, 16 semanas).
Este sencillo pertenece a su primer disco homónimo “Mariah Carey”, el tercero más vendido de su discografía, con 18 millones de copias distribuidas mundialmente. En Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Canadá y Brasil logró ser número 1.
El sencillo “Vision of love” estuvo durante cuatro semanas en el número 1 de las listas estadounidenses y logró el puesto 9 en las listas británicas. Otros países donde alcanzó el número uno, fueron Canadá, Brasil, Filipinas o Nueva Zelanda. Gracias al mismo, Mariah se llevó dos premios Grammy de los cinco a los que aspiraba, siendo estos por “Mejor artista novel” y “Mejor intérprete femenina de pop”.

su problema es el mismo de Christina Aguilera ambas cantan muy bien pero carecen del minimo carisma, al contrario la mayor parte del tiempo se ven sencillamente insoportables.
