Cheryl Cole – Parachute

Tras los dos sencillos anteriores del disco «3 Words» («Fight for this love» y «3 Words«), Cheryl Cole publicó el sencillo «Parachute» el pasado 15 de Marzo. La canción llegó al puesto 5 de las listas británicas, siendo su tercer TOP5 en Reino Unido.

La canción fue escrita por Marshall Altman y Ingrid Michaelson, siendo producida por Syience y el componente de los Black Eyed Peas, Will.i.am.

Cheryl comentó sobre esta canción que le gustaba su sonido único y diferente al del resto de los otros temas del álbum, así como su letra, donde destaca la frase «you are your own worst enemy, you’ll never win the fight» (eres tu pero enemigo, nunca ganarás la batalla). De hecho, «Parachute» fue la primera candidata a ser el sencillo principal de apertura del disco.

El vídeo musical fue rodado en Londres el pasado mes de enero, siendo emitido por primera vez el 31 de ese mes en el programa T4 del Canal 4. En el clip, podemos ver las mismas coreografías que ya bailó Cheryl en una presentación televisiva (Cheryl Cole’s Night In) del tema. Le acompaña en los bailes junto a otros hombres, el bailarín Derek Hough, que también realizó la coreografía. El vídeo fue dirigido por AlexandLiane, siendo producido por Factory Films.
